Abstract: In order to promote the highquality development of marine fishery economy in Hainan Province, this paper analyzes the status and main problems of fishery development and puts forward countermeasures and suggestions. The research results show that the marine fishing industry in Hainan Province tends to be stable. Mariculture has entered a critical period of transformation. Seedling becomes a regional advantageous industry. Aquatic product processing industry is facing with a great pressure and leisure fishery is rising rapidly. At present, there are deficiencies in production mode, infrastructure, industrial entity, technological innovation and supporting capital. Thus, we puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions, i.e. optimizing the breeding space layout, building an industrial comprehensive development platform, consolidating the supporting capacity of scientific and technological innovation, supporting and cultivating leading enterprises, promoting seedling brand construction, improving the level of financing service and so on.
