Abstract:
An object-oriented remote sensing technique procedure for port spatial pattern monitoring is established used high-resolution satellite remote sensing images. Parameters such as dock index, stocking yard index, dock basin index, deep water coastline index and port efficiency index are constructed in order to describe the port space composition and utilization efficiency. In addition, we selected Bayuquan Port, Jinzhou Port, Jingtang Port of Yingkou, Longkou Port and Zhipu Port of Yantai, together 5 ports as examples for empirical study. The results show that the average basic ratio of dock coastline to dock and stocking yard and dock basin are 1.00∶6.96∶51.85∶66.05 for the five ports. The indexes of some ports, such as the stocking yard and dock basin of Bayuquan port and stocking yard of Jinzhou port, the area proportions of dock, stocking yard and dock basin of Jingtang port, have exceeded the regional average. The five typical port areas around the Bohai Sea all have more space for optimizing. It is estimated that the throughput potentials of Bayuquan port, Jingtang port and Jinzhou port of Yingkou, Zhifu port and Longkou port of Yantai are 87.22, 95.87, 59.40, 69.09 and 87.95 million tons, respectively.
