Abstract:
The surface sediment along the coast of Bailong Peninsula was investigated in 2016, and the radionuclide activities were measured using HPGeγ ray detector. The activities of
40K、
210Pb、
226Ra、
228Th、
228Ra、
238U and
137Cs were 354±125, 89.2±41.2, 32.40±9.38, 49.2±14.7, 42.8±12.6, 48.3±20.2 and 0.74±0.33 Bq/kg, respectively. The activities of
238U,
232Th and
226Ra were comparable with the sediments activities of other coast in China, while
40K and
137Cs activities were slightly lower. The average absorbed gamma dose rate (
D) and annual effective dose equivalent (
AEDE) calculated according to the activities were comparable with the world average, and average radium equivalent activity (
Raeq) was lower than the recommended limit value.
