Abstract:
Based on the severe rainfall study in Zhangzhou caused by South China Sea typhoon landing on the east of Guangdong and the south of Fujian Provinces, 3 conceptual models are summarized. They are east highnorth trough type, eastwest double high type and east highwest low type. Analysis shows that they are commonly characterized by lowlevel southerly jet over the south of Taiwan Strait. The storm zone over Zhangzhou below 850hPa is the zone of strong vapor flux convergence and 200hPa is the zone of strong divergence. The difference is that the strength and thickness of the type of east highwest low southerly jet is the weakest. Besides, there is interaction of cold air in east highnorth trough type. The largest maximum daily rainfall is in the east highnorth trough type and the lowest is in east highwest low type. Besides, 22 physical parameters about water vapor, power, heat and other unstable conditions and the climate mean of typhoon in Zhangzhou area are calculated for information of heavy rainfall forecast.
